Biking with 5513

Went out biking today in Hyde Park/South Shore (in Chicago, along Lake Michigan). Here are some photos of the 63rd St. Beach House (Pavilion), which dates from about 1910 I believe, in full Prarie Style, reminiscent of grander days on the South Side...

Looking north, towards Hyde Park:

Stopping by the neighborhood cafe afterwards for lunch...

Lovely Nato strap. It looks like it is almost in regimental colours.

Cycling or motorbiking?

Mike really took the words out of my mouth, that 5513 is superb.

I've been wearing my 5513 for the last week, and on Saturday night I was with a few friends. I was looking at the dial and someone asked me, "Why are you looking at your watch?" Somewhat embarrassed I replied, "It just a captivating classic dial." I didn't want to say much more as they would have thought I was a bit strange (if they didn't already).

what an absolutely beautiful example. I hope to find myself one that nice someday. How do you like that bond strap btw? I've been thinking of getting one myself.

Your 5513 is really beautiful, and looks in great condition.
I got myself a vintage 14060 (from 1999, no date, no COSC) very recently - partly because its looks are similar to this. Have mine on its original bracelet now, but will likely want to try out a NATO strap like yours at some point.
