Panerai Date

Does anybody have a pic of a Pannie with a date function? I'm curious to see how the reverse cyclops works. Thanks.

Yes I know Daren but I can't seem to get a good view of how the dial and date look straight on. Even in the cataloges I got from them, they don't have one. Maybe I'll just have to wait till I see one in person.

Actually John's picture above is the best I've seen straight on so far.

Paulie, try www.paneristi.com. They have a good reference section with most if not all models. Also, some members post some staggering photos. Also try the panny room at Timezone.

Paullie I think the magification is actually ground into the underside of the panerai's crystal. Is that what you were asking?

Is it the photo or is the face of the GMT out of round? It just doesn't look right in that pic.

Here are a few quick bad ones I snapped for ya pal.

Not a huge fan of it, but do like the cyclops more on the inside.

Well, if I could add a quick impression. I was just in an AD looking around and played with a Luminor GMT 44mm. The date window is NICE as is the whole watch!
I must say I was very impressed with the whole package. The watch was a bit heavy, but nothing like I thought it would be and the bracelet seemed supurb.
The one I looked at was in a sweet wooden box, came with an additional rubber strap and a screwdriver to make all the necessary adjustments.
I know nothing about Panerai movements--yet--but I must say the watch seemed to ooze class.
I used up every bit of wrist I had with the 44mm size, but honestly the watch did not seem "bulky" like I thought it might.
I'd like to look at the 40mm size for comparison.
If anyone is interested I was given an 06 price list. 44mm--$7,100USD. 40mm--$4,900 USD on strap.

The Panerai bracelets are second to none!!

Too bad I am not strong enough to wear one everyday.
