Basel Releases on Breitling's New Website

Checking out the new Breitling website and you can find some of the new models to be released at Basel. Some of the highlights include a new Navitimer Chronograph in 41mm with a non in house movement and a three handed Navitimer in 38mm with non in house movement, a new sized Super Ocean Heritage II at 44mm with an in house (Tudor based) movement and a new Chronomat with a new bezel. True to his Georges Kern word all of the new model chronographs with in house movements have contrasting sundials while the non in house models do not. The new models can be found here https://www.breitling.com/us-en/find-yo ... w-watches/ Enjoy and let the debates begin!

I am in love with the rose gold Navi 8 version.
I was shocked to see a 38mm but based on how advertised, apparently geared towards women.
That should tick off some of the 36mm Rolex folks. 🤣

I thought I read a comment from Georges that the Bentley would also have an update.
Seems he separated Bentley into its own website no longer linked to main Breitling.

Thanks for sharing this!

I really like the looks of the superocean heritage chrono II with silver dial and black subdials and the navitimer 41 with silver dial and rose gold hands

Even though some look nice I just can’t get on board with them calling a 3 hander a Navitimer. That’s like omega making a non chrono speedmaster pro. Or Rolex making a gmt with diamonds instead of numbers (oh wait)...or Panerai making a luminor you cannot even swim with let alone dive (oh wait).

Rant over.

IMHO I feel that Breitling has the best new releases this year compared to Omega, Rolex and Tudor

Unfortunately, appears they did a major housecleaning and got rid of lots of watches to make room for all the new ones.

Not feeling the new bezels on the chronomat at the moment. Maybe when the watches show up at ADs to inspect in person. The superocean heritage still looks great and I do like the new direction in pricing on some models...

I haven't given breitling a second thought in years but I'm not gonna lie the 41mm Navitimer kind of has me excited. Even the 41mm day-date honestly looks kind of cool, clear Rolex day-window ripoff notwithstanding.

Very excited to check out in the metal.

Not sure what you mean by this, the placement of the day and date may be guided more by the movement utilized, rather than the placement that Rolex uses!

No square on the dial is a huge plus for me. That along with the new bezel (without the old font and sans rubber inserts) makes this a watch I may actually want to own. Well done...

I really want to like the 3 hand Navitimer. It checks a lot of boxes for me. Smaller size, beaded bezel, reasonable price and clean dial look. I'm torn because of the the lack of chrono, but at the same time I think it really looks clean without the registers. I'll have to see it in person. I bet it and the Navitimer 8, which I'm also digging on, look a lot better in person.

Calling non Navitimer watches Navitimers is interesting.

I felt the same but historically not all Navitimers have had slide rules, if that’s your definition of a Navitimer.

New 38mm is sexy in black!
The fact this watch was launched and a poll was posted on their Instagram about seeing some more classic designs, I'm ready! I still think an Explorer 1 will be my next piece so that'll give me time to see how their new CEO tries to win our hearts.

Nope, that has the Breitling B01 movement in it so you'll get the 5 year warranty.

While I am not versed in Breitling, I do appreciate the clean lines on this model. Also, it has a useful bezel without cluttering it up with numbers from 10-50. Replacing the almost useless tachymeter scale of other makers has been done before but this is a cleaner approach.

I'm 'kind of' disappointed because it's so recognizable. However, in my opinion, these new dials are so clean looking with just the B is hard to be too disappointed.
