How do you time the accuracy of your watch ?

Looking to see which applications you guys use to time the accuracy of your watch?

I used toolwatch but I find it quite cumbersome and invasive. Any other alternatives ?

Set the watch to exact time when I switch watches, check how far off it is 3+ days later.

Just check every few months not every few days. It’ll be startlingly obvious of your watch goes out of tolerance. Remember:86400 s in a day, 604800 s in a week and most of ours will be losing 10-20 s per week max, possibly fewer.

Accuracy not so much. Consistency more important to me. I compare to UTC online

Not something I dwell on. I enjoy when the cuckoo clock in the sun room and the chiming mantle clock in the office agree. They’re both probably wrong though.

I have a timegrapher, but i haven’t used it in a long time. If i notice a watch is running poorly, then i will check it.

Mostly I use time.gov,
or, on occasion,
WWV Shortwave broadcasts at 5, 10, 15MHz (whenever I can receive it with my crap antenna system.)
Your cell phone is also OK for time.

I set to time.gov when I put it on, and check the same a couple of weeks later when I rotate watches to check the variance.

Twixt app in the Apple App Store!

Super easy. Take a photo of your watch and it records the time automatically.

I just check if the date is correct.

That’s close enough for me.
