Thanks very much! I hoped and waited for the 5270 in platinum. And then the mother ship decided on the salmon dial, which to me is just icing on the cake.
Thanks, my friend!

i am more of a vintage guy
Seems like most people are into watches with a 5 handle.
My favorites are: 3448 (I have a J, but P would be the best) 2526 black dial or LBJ "do onto others" dial or Pt 3417 Amagnetic 1518 Perpetual Calendar Chrono (ideally in SS) some minute repeater -- there are a lot of nice ones. This collection could be worth $1m or more, so out of consideration, but would be nice! |

So the new fab 5
5711r 5712a 5320g 5930g (for now- I was on fence about this one but I’m glad I pulled the trigger, I do enjoy wearing it, it likely replace my dreams of a 5131P as I hate the new case with the enamel... this is a truely modern interpretation of the watch. Something in the 5270/5370 range |

new to the obsession and new to the forum so still evolving...but so far.
1- 5196, for a classic basic dress (done) 2- 3940, for a vintage perpetual (done) 3- 5170g-010, for a Chrono (negotiating with ADs presently) 4- 5711 blue, if I can ever get my hands on one at a realistic price 5- 5231, for a world timer ...but I assume this will evolve and will be fun to look back on what I said. you guys are a knowledgeable bunch...fun/expensive to read the forum. |

Great idea for a thread Ninja.
Pretty content with my first two Patek’s. 5980 1A Blue - sports watch 5235 1G Annual Calendar Now looking to round it out with a PCC. I think the perfect third would be the 5204 1R but have yet to try on a 5270. Really love the dial. I think that would do it. If pushed for a 4th it would be the 5231 R. No need, in my view, for a fifth but I think it would have to be the 5170 P if I had to add a fifth. |

What would be your ideal 3-5 Patek collection?
For me it’s:
5711r 5712 5980r 5167 5905p I have the 5712 and the 5167. I’m hoping to be allocated the 5711r next year. From there I’ll probably go for the 5905p and then the 5980r

This is an issue for Patek. I mean the only way to get some of us to buy an Annual calendar or perpetual is to drop it into a nautilus case!

Just revisiting my list as the world occilates
5712a 5320g 5196r Any T-stamp nautilus :) I’ve cut it down to 4 cheaper watches since I’m going to spend some money on some RM, why? Cause I think it’ll hold value more and I have warmed up to it. |

5520p
5078g 5320g I’d substitute Duke Ellington’s 1563 for the 5320 if the Patek Museum would sell it to me. |
