PM, no question. Oh wait, it was a question.

OK, there's your answer.

I have the 116500, but have been bitten by the PM bug lately,
so I vote 116508 (I want this reference though with GREEN!)

Don’t get me wrong. I think the stainless steel Daytona is a great watch, but it only makes sense for me buying it at retail.

Great choice. That's a beauty!

PM for sure. I can't imagine anyone who frequents a watch forum and has any concern at price suggesting otherwise. That said, I did follow the rationale of the one person who made a case for it but personally, could not pay 2x retail.

I guess I’ll be the outlier here ... but if you can get your head around the price, I’d go SS.

I’m not a fan of PM professional references (no disrespect to the many here who love them). I prefer to stick to SS as they were first introduced and close to their original DNA.

Also, I prefer lighter wearing watches for comfort, but again YMMV

Another vote here for PM. ~$20k may be "market price" for SS but IMHO it simply isn't worth it when you can get full PM for not much more and PM is really quite special. I don't have a PM Daytona as I was able to SS at MSRP, but I do have a YG Sub and it's quite special.

Between those two I’d get the PM model and I don’t usually go the PM route. I’ve really cooled on the 116500.

The 116500 will hold it's value better over time than the PM but it is hard to justify the SS at that price point and the YG Daytona will give you more bang for your buck in the short term. I would go PM.
