Rolex Explorer 214270 - Full Review
I had posted a first impression video a few weeks back. I've finally finished my full review video. Thanks for watching.

Great review. The newer Explorer 1s have been on my list of potential next watches so this was somewhat helpful. Your feedback on the oyster bracelet made me realize I should definitely try one on before buying. I'm used to the jubilee bracelet and really value a comfortable fit so I'm not sure how the transition would feel. The one thing this video is missing is a wrist shot!
As for your question about the crown springing out, this is definitely expected behavior. I'm not so sure about the clicking you described when going in reverse though but I wouldn't be too concerned myself. |

I have three, 16233, 114270, and 214270 T-Rex, and all have wobbly Crowns when fully extended. None have the spring back effect when setting the time nor the clicking when back winding. All are silent when shaking, as well.

Interesting that I have had the 114270 since 2002 and there are no scratches, yet the 214270 has little scratches as described by the reviewer. I think the 114270 is not the new 904 steel.

I've read that the 114270 is also 904l stainless steel. So I'm not sure what to say about your experience, but it's interesting. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I may be wrong, but I thought 904 came after 2002 in the 114270 model. For some reason it doesn't scratch as easily.

As an Explorer 1 owner, I endorse this as a very accurate review.
