I like the asymmetry, but then again I also own a Lange 1.

5712 all the way. I have one and it's fantastic. It's thin and light but the complications are a lot of fun. A great package, the 5711 is a little too sedate. Would rather go for a 3700 in that case. If you are going for a 'clean' look I would rather lose the second hand. That's something that has always bothered me about the 5711. The RO jumbo doesn't have one and it gives a much cleaner look just like the original nautilus. Also, the '12 is not unbalanced it's actually a great asymmetrical design that is rare and unique. It just adds something to the whole picture. Good luck.

Wow! Great pics. Love the 5712 seven o'clock "symmetry". I knew something was right about the dial just could not figure it out.
Aaaaand.....My AD just got a 5712. Decisions, decisions. |

My AD also has the 5712 in stock. I thought about buying it because I love the blue dial. But then I would have two!

A Patek with a complication does seem rather appealing so 5712 for me.

I like the 5711s Realestate to get enough light to let that blue dial pop

So is the blue dial exactly the same colour on both 5712 and 5711?

Still love the design of the 5712. The blue dial and complications make it a winner to me. There are plenty of three hand watches to pick from. There is really only one 5712. The blue dial is fantastic!

The 5711 and the 5726 are the only Nautilus models that I like, and preferably both on a strap.

Surprises me that noone has yet suggested waiting on the 5990 instead of any of the 5711/5712/5726 models.........

I vowed never to buy a Patek because my ignorance thought they were too "nerdy" and are very pricey, so I spent most of my time on the AP forum. There are many AP owners that also own PP so naturally curiosity brought me to the Patek forum more and more. I was originally thinking about adding a Rose Gold AP RC but I ended up falling in love with the 5712/1A for many of the previously stated reasons: Its Patek! Iconic design by GG. Sick blue dial. Awesome complication. Asymmetrical sub dials unique. Awesome bracelet. Thin and easy to slip under shirt cuff. Superb movement with micro-rotor that you don't see everyday.
Well known seller has one now so we came to a deal quickly. Just a few more days and she will be on my wrist. Can't wait! |

5712 has been on my short list. But the 5726 also looks sublime with useful functions. However, I like the fact that the 5712 has no cut outs

How much more do the 5726 go for vs 5712?
5711 seems to go for 25000 or so?

I own a 5712GR, a 5711/1A (white) and a 15202 Jumbo Navy. Of the 3, the 5712GR is the most special to wear with its perfectly balanced two tone WG/RG case, unique asymmetrical layout, and dynamic slate dial. The Jumbo Navy comes in a close second. The 5711/1A just lacks the "magic" of the other 2 pieces, IMHO.
