The 5726 doesn't get a lot of love here but I find it very nice on bracelet, I like the AC plus moonphase, after the 5712 it's the one I prefer, even better than the 5711, the only Nautilus models that I don't like are the white dial ones, I saw the 5711 in white dial at the AD but it really didn't do anything for me, I can understand if some like but not to my taste...

What I don't like very much about the 5980 is the fact that the chrono is a different colour than the rest of the dial, the gold one is a beauty mainly because the whole dial is the same colour

I know it's not the favorite but a 5726 on strap for me would be heaven. I'm a sucker for the moon phase on that watch and it has a nice clean dial in my opinion.

I agree with you 100%, after the 5712, either SS or RG, both for me look great, the 5726 is my favorite Nautilus, and I too am a sucker for the moon phase, absolutely useless fonction but I like it very much, I love my 5712 but have to say the date is not very easy to read, and I'm just 43 and have good eyes, don't wear glasses

But if you can I would definitely get a new one from a grey dealer, except of course if you get a great deal on a used one, but if between a new one but without guarantee, like the one I got, still sealed but from 2012 so guarantee was finished but with 2800 euros less, and a used one the price difference would have to be at least 10% and the watch in mint condition, in other words LNIB, for me to buy it used, when looking for my 5712 I also looked at the 5726 and there were pretty good deals for new ones which were 2-3 years old, as much as I love this model it seems that it is not amongst the favorites for Patek lovers, but I think it's great, AC, moon phase, 24hrs dial, central sweep seconds, IMO just a great piece with great complications. Just looked at chrono 24 and there is a new one in Italy for 32.800 dollars, but if you are in the US the best price is 36.300 all this for a new one, whereas the price for used but mint is 32.500 in the US, if I were you I would definitely get a ticket for Italy, go there for 1 week, get the new one, send the box by special mail service home, and come back with my watch on my wrist, like this you have a new one, plus a trip to Italy for a few thousand $ more, and they say it has a new guarantee, it's from 2013 so don't know if the guarantee is just from Patek or from the italian shop, but even if you want to stay in the US I would really put the extra cash and get it new, it's from 2014 so under guarantee, I really think it's worth the extra cash to be the 1st owner, anyways here are the links to the italian one and the US one: http://www.chrono24.com/en/patekphil...arch/index.htm http://www.chrono24.com/en/patekphil...arch/index.htm What is the retail in the US for the 5726 on strap like you want? The price of the italian one is 700 euros less than the retail for a 5712-1A, so it's an incredibly good deal IMO. |

PS: I don't know if in the US you need to add VAT on top of the price, if yes then I would 100% take 5-7 days and go to Italy, definitely worth it...

blue 5711 is my favorite. The 5980 is sweet but I would have no real use for it to justify it.

5711A blue dial is my favorite. Slim and full of history. Though I am saving for 5990a which will be my next baby.

My favorite Nautilus: 5980R
Why: the Genta-design, symmetrically dial, balanced size, rosegold, nice rubber strap, flyback (useful for sporting), etc. Guess what, I bought the 5980R last week.... Very happy with it. |

Hard to pick just one, they are each special in their own way and have their own place.
Owners of any nautilus are very fortunate. |

For me It's between the 5711 and 5712. But this one keeps eating away at my sanity.

And this one is a rare bird if you have a good number of pieces in your collection. I don't know...
