The Official Nautilus 5712 Appreciation Thread

Hi everyone,

Seeing that with the 5980 and the 5711 this is the Nautilus which gets, IMO, the most love here I thought it needed it's own thread, so all of you who own one don't hesitate to post pics and say what you love about this piece.

I love the comfort, so comfy that I even sleep with mine, strange I know but sleep much better with a watch on my wrist

The thinness and weight are also great, took me a few days to get used to it as I was coming from bigger heavier watches, my smalest at the time beeing Daytona 116515.

Just love the perfect finition, the beautiful grey-blue dialthe moon phase, I know useless but love to have one.

Here are a few pics of mine, please show us your's

I don't have my 5712/1A anymore. I sold it to fund a 5980/1A because it looks better on my big wrists. I will just admire yours.

Lovely!

How big does the 5712 wear? Bigger than a sub?

The 5712 wears smaller than a sub. It's a really thin watch.

I love this watch, so much so i placed an order last month!!!!!!
After ordering it from my AD with their advice being it will arrive late December, therefore tying in with me wanting to pay for it and collect it in January, I've received an email to say it is in. How I am going to exercise this level of self control I will never know, but at least I have these amazing pictures to look at in the meantime.

It looks bigger in wrist shots then in actuality. Although the face is around 40MM, it is also on the shorter side the distance from lug to lug. It is definitely more dressy feel than sporty. Right now, I am wearing a 38.5MM ALS Lange 1 and the Lange 1 feels bigger.

I like the 5712 a lot just wished it was bigger. The 5980 to me is the right size for a Sports watch.

Have had mine for 6 months now and it's definitely my favorite Nautilus, no doubt about it, took sometime to get use to the fact that it's ultra thin but now it's perfect

This 5712 belongs to Perpetualman88 who was kind enough to let me try it on. His feet also grace this photo

The first PP I love in first sight was 5712
But it's the third I own. 5980 > 5110G > 5712R ,but finally it's here.

I remember when you traded your regular dial for this one and I was :d rul:

I must say Greg a few of your pics are what made me first really take notice of this reference and helped me fall in love with it. This is one of the few watches I will have in the rotation until the day I die :)
