When will these prices take effect? I may pick up a 5164 this weekend and want to take advantage!

I was seriously considering Lange before I made my most recent PP purchase and now I am thinking that I would have been better off. I was always told that Patek was the "gold standard" and you would never loose money on a PP. I guess they were wrong. For someone who invested in PP significantly in the past 2 years, this SUCKS and I am going to be writing a letter to them to express my dissatisfaction.
PP is losing it's luster.....The collectors is what keeps this company going and they just pissed off a major part of their customer base.

As others have mentioned, AP did this a few years ago as well. From what I recall, if purchased at an AD, the AD refunded the difference.
I wonder if PP will follow suit and do the same. Somehow I doubt it.

I can't imagine dealer invoice budging. As a side note, it will be interesting to see what Rolex does re: price. I spoke to several AD's yesterday that I've made recent purchases from and Rolex US had its best year ever last year, even outselling Asia. US demand is so great that AD's can't get inventory to the levels they are accustomed to...

I doubt Rolex will drop pricing and it s a very wise move their grey market is very well controlled by US Customs

Just my 2cents

Pricing rumour

Wow this is unreal. It's not even the 1st of April.
I can see why people aren't happy. 7% is a significant amount. I personally find it beneficial as I'm only starting to get into Patek.

here's the new HK price list for anyone interested......
seems way too steep to me. probably a 10% drop (combined with the 8% increase in EUR) would've been fine if they were worried about moving inventory and bringing global prices in line with each other...

now i feel like it's way too low that everyone will just buy from HK instead of EUR

It will be interesting to see the US prices. Based on the HK prices, the US market seems to be at a premium.

It is and we have been at major premium for years. Before today we were at a 20% premium to Swiss and much of world and today less but still 10% plus. Crazy and never could understand that!

I sent an email off to a Patek AD in Canada today, got a response back that yes the price was changing in other countries "but unfortunately the Canadian dollar hasn't been doing much". I took that as "no price change" although I didn't really get an explicit answer.

No it is a $3,125 USD drop from previous price. Again US sells watches for big premium over rest of world.

Thanks Ken! I understand. So, the US price should be around 50k after the decrease. Still, 6k premium over HK.

Geneva boutique price cut is confirmed at 5% effective from today.

Wonder which way UK prices will move when they do?

So the U.S. pays a premium which we grin and bear it but seem to get the pieces last and are only allocated 17% of the watches PP makes. (sorry for being the typical crybaby american, but I still love the watches )

No wonder a credible (looking) seller has a 5960/1A at a price that is several thousands lower than recent prices...

anyone that has taken recent delivery of a Patek in a country where prices are now lower should defo speak with their AD. Not sure if there is anything that PP or an AD can do but it is definitely worth a try.

In Canada list prices are even higher than US which is even crazier considering US is already selling at a premium. In addition with high taxes it'll be interesting to see if prices get adjusted here.
