Thank you guys.... All great suggestions!

Personally I was thinking of selling all my AC's as I know once I wear the 5270, the others will become safe queens! But yes I would miss the 5146G Slate dial the most!

Keep all three sports Pateks! But if need be then to offload either the 5712 or 5711

I would keep 5711, either 5712 or 5980 and one of the AC's.
Yes... It sure does mate

I do love wearing the 5205... But I feel my AC's would become safe queens!

I think I could even sell off either the 5712 or the 5711. It seems two Nautilus watches is enough to choose from.

Looking forward to an incoming! I held that same 5270 in my hand in Honolulu this week, it is a gorgeous watch!
agreed!

Tried on My GRAIL ... 5270R

Hmm 5711 over 5712? I can see why you'd want one simple dial and one grand complication. Personally though I'd find it hard to part with a 5712 😀

Now this is a fun game. I'd keep 5711, grey dial nautilus beast and anthracite dial AC.

Personally I find the dial of the 5712 more interesting to look at over the simple 5711.... However in this case if I were to get the 5270, then the 5711 would be a great simple dial, easy to set the time and go watch!

Great choices
The grey dial on the 5146 is a winner!

I would be happy to keep the 5711, 5164, one of the 5146, and then add the 5270.

But that's just me. The PCC is also my end game watch.

Wow love that 5270R.

Although if I was the OP, my bigger dilemma would be 5270R or the 5270G. If the 5270G then blue dial or white dial? Now that's a tough predicament considering many people would only own one PCC. Lol

I'd keep one AC to go with the 5270 (maybe the grey 5146 as it's aesthetically very different). And a nautilus (or two) and the aqua. Good luck!

Whichever ones you decide too keep and sell, I think your grail watch is an excellent choice and will be well worth sacrificing 3 time pieces in order to buy it! Congrats-in-advance!

For a 5270, id be tempted to sell all of them and maybe pick up a 5980R as well.

The 5270R is stunning - HUGE Congrats!

Keeping three would be tough for me...

Your Nautilus trio is perfect and your travel time is great for casual.

Personally, if I brought in a 5270 I couldn't see the 5146's or the 5205 getting much wrist time.

So for me I would sell both 5146's and the 5205.

For the OP, if you get the 5270, keep in mind that it is a manual wind watch and you are not likely to wear the watch on a daily basis, although you definitely could. So ask yourself if you want to keep an automatic AC or not. If you like the 5146G, keep it unless you absolutely need the funds applied to the 5270.

We don't talk about watch dial legibility here too much, but I think the legibility is better on the 5146 vs the 5205. Legibility is usually better on sports watches compared to dress watches as well.

I love mine and can't stop wearing it! I have worn it pretty much every day since I got it, even with my bathing suit, LOL. The others are getting jealous

Very nice!! It was this dial that proved how good the 5270 could look.

You bring up some very good points
The fact that this is a manual wind is a really a concern for me as I am often (4 time a month) travelling for 4 to 5 days... which would mean having to constantly set the time, day, date... which would eventually get :bang head:

Regarding the legibility between 5146 vs 5205... well both quite good because my 5205 has the white dial... however the 5146 is no doubt better

Thanks for your input mate

I would keep the following: 5146 slate dial (annual calendar function), 5980 (chronograph function, 5165 (gmt function) and add 5270 (grand complication). Done! Enjoy your great watches! :)

5711 and 5270R

Maybe keep the 5164 as well to get the full spectrum of PP.

Mate I think 5164 and 5980 you will keep as I know you love those boys, and then I think it will be a toss up between the 5711 and 5712 and certain you will keep the 5712 as much as you love that 5711... I see no need for both 5711 and 5712..

So 5270R, 5980, 5712 and 5164 for work.. Now thats some collection right there ;-)
