Discontinued Pams pricing issue ?

I've been trying to get a Pam 98 ever since the first day I saw some pictures of Launch Mini's watch posted by Vu last year. My AD has spent the last 9 months telling me that they are on "a worldwide search" for me. Price quoted was £4700.00, as per the last time the watch was produced. I also looked at the end of 2007 at a Pam 242, which was priced at £4800.00. Both these models have been discontinued for a couple of years.
Well my 98 has finally arrived and they are telling me it now costs £5200.00 ?
The 242 is still in the window and now costs £5300.00.
Does anyone have access to a 2008 price guide for the UK ? Are these prices right, or is my AD trying a fast one ?
Certainly other watch brands like Rolex and Omega dont increase the price of discontinued models...........once they are discontinued, the price is set.
Dont think much of this Panerai policy if it is genuine !

Their new pricelists include some of the discontinued models too .I think somewhere in the world of Panerai ADs,there still must be one or two in stock,therefore they also get hiked on the new list.Fair or not that seems to be the way it is.

A breed of cattle in a city,from the land of Eish !! It complicated really.
