He has ‘The Ink Spots’ greatest hits downloaded onto his iPhone and was playing songs off that album for us this morning before school. He also has music in French and Italian.

To say he has eclectic taste in music is an understatement.

We grooved to the songs ‘If I Didn’t Care’ and ‘Java Jive’ this morning. This is music from the 1930s and 40s!

I hope he never changes.

My son is into a rapper called Gucci Mane. As a musician I was hoping my son would be into music that is at least played on real instruments. Oh well. I guess my dad wasn't happy I was into Hendrix and Zeppelin, and not his generation, Frank Sinatra, etc. Although now I play in a Sinatra swing band, so there's hope. I hope.

My son also likes Pink Floyd, Metallica and Ice Cube. As long as he isn't into country music I'm happy.

Don't be surprised if he has a country music phase. Most of my kids friends like it.
