Dubai Watch Week Info

I plan to attend the Dubai Watch Week next month but don't have much information. Has anyone here been in the past who has some advice? Things like tickets, schedule, where to stay, etc.

Dubai Watch Week Info

So the Dubai Watch Week is only in its 3rd Edition so the actual events and Programme is still fluid and keep changing so Best is to visit www.dubaiwatchweek.com

The event is held within a 2-3 square kilometer financial district called the DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) home to almost all the global banks and financial institutions.

DIFC is a district with hotels, bars, pubs, art galleries, auction houses AND offices of these banks.

I work for one of such banks and within DIFC.

Hotels near this are
1. Ritz Carlton DIFC
2. 4 Seasons DIFC
3. Emirates Towers.

The famous Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa is less than a 3 minute cab ride (or 2 Metro stops away)
I think even Dubai Mall will host events (commercial) during the Watch week.

I don’t think the event has tickets, but the big draw is the lectures, panel discussions and classes. You HAVE to register on the website ASAP as these are limited in number and these run out fast.

Enjoy Dubai!

Thanks for all of the great advice! I just registered on the site but probably too late as a lot of the events are closed for registration.

I'll look into the DIFC hotels as that seems more convenient, although the Four Seasons at Jumeirah looks tempting.

The Marriott Marquis is also worth a look, tallest hotels in the world, since there are two of them.

A couple of Metro stops away. But can be considered.

The ones I have mentioned are walking distance.

If Watch Week is incidental then you should consider The Atlantis in Palm Jumeirah.
Ideal for families, being pampered and chock full of activities and restaurants inside.

Of course a good 20 minute cab ride away from DIFC.

Usually only the events under “Horology Forums” are available to visitors. These are Panel Discussions with all the luminaries of the industry.

I just registered for a bunch of them this morning.

They would not have gotten full yet. Check again.

This is a spanking new Hotel right by the beach (less than 18 months old) and its restaurants attract the hippest of hip crowds in Dubai.

A 10-12 minute cab ride to DIFC.

Cabs are plenty and not very expensive.
Dubai is an EXTREMELY safe city, so no worries of staying out late as well.
Uber works as well.

And November mid the weather gets brilliant!
Sunny, blue skies and slight breeze.

You will LOVE it here.

Enjoy!

Remember - DO BUY when in Dubai!
Shopper’s paradise - though may not be the cheapest prices. But the best shopping experience you will have!

Shangri La or anywhere on Sh Zayed Rd is convenient.
