Icon2 Bulova vs Seiko

For all you football fans. These were two of the biggest teams in Hong Kong professional football in the 1980s.

Since I am wearing a turtle right now, I am team Seiko. Bulova's golden years may have taken place before my time

Bulova has a pretty interesting history though, and was perhaps the most innovative American watch company. The first radio and TV ads broadcast in the States were both for Bulova, I believe.

Anyway, it shows HK's fascination with watches that two of its leading soccer teams were once named after (sponsored by) watch companies.

Having just checked their wiki, I hadn't realize they dated back to 1875

I have a couple of Bulovas. They are quartz with a smooth sweep. Precisionists. Very accurate!
