My bankers son found this watch in the street this week ...he’s bringing it to a Rolex dealer to get it checked out..

Just test the regatta timer, don’t think fakes have replicated the movement. And ya as mentioned regatta hand isn’t supposed to be pointin anywhere between 4 and 8 o’clock (YouTube search how to use regatta timer)

Not to mention triangle on countdown hand is too narrow.

I’m no expert, and usually suck at checking pictures for authenticity, but I’m going to go ahead and call that a fake as well

It just looks way off

Keep us posted!

Its FAKE because its got a 10 minute programmable count down counter i,e 10 mins to zero mins
Yet the counter is pointing to 6 which is not part of the 10 minute counter scale.

and I doubt any counterfeiter will ever manage to replicate this function

A comparison to a real one

I am guessing you are not looking to build any kind of reputation here are you?

Can you share with us which dealer this was...let us know if they're also in the market to buy watches as well, because I'd be afraid to see what's in their "used" selection.
