Nothing but nightmares when I bought 7. I will never buy another iPhone the first month it's out. From now on I'm waiting at LEAST 90 days for all of the issues to be resolved (software wise).

I've got an iPhone 6 (as does my wife). We upgraded from the 5 after being Blackberry users for many years. I'll stick with my 6 for the time being, at least until the new one comes out. If it's significantly better than the 6, I'll go with the new one. Otherwise, I'll stick with the 6.

Agreed, the price floating around is insane. I really hope it is water resistant at the minimum! At that price I will keep my iphone 6 for as long as it lasts. I just can't believe we are talking about $1000 phones.

Like many have already said my wife and I so invested in the Apple environment now it wouldn't make sense to switch.

The 4S is no longer supported on ios10 so it makes sense that the next iOS will not support the 5.

I think you'll be forced to upgrade due to lack of apps and ability to communicated between other apple products you have

The 7 is water resistant so future phones should be as well

I broke down and bought an iPhone SE 64GB... Likely should have waited but my old phone was a 5S and was getting a bit rough.

You are not alone. I was a diehard Apple user from the Original, 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5... and then when I looked at the 6 versus the competition I realized I hadn't really bought into their ecosystem so I could to jump over to Samsung and haven't looked back. I did try a Windows phone for a short time and would dearly love them to launch a real 'Surface Phone' but in the meantime I'll take my wireless charging, expandable memory, and always on notification screen. Anyway, to each their own and to all you Apple users I hope the next one suits you even better.

I am eagerly waiting the 8 while still using my 6. I am also an Apple guy. MacBooks, iPads, iPhones at home and I switched the entire office over to Apple several years ago. Maybe ignorance is bliss, but I just cannot fathom anything out there being better.

For the cloud LAMP is hard to beat and apple doesn't have great hardware or software (they don't sell cloud hardware or software, just solutions). I'm a tech guy, so I have everything but Apple is very good.

I have a iphone 6, and is waiting to see what the 8 looks like. Apple really lost its edge ...their new and "revolutionary" stuff now are just new colors and more mega pixel cameras.

From what I've read, the 8 is another "meh" iphone. Apple continues to disappoint me. Nothing new or good since the Retina display on the iphone.

Apple...please stop it with the gimmicky stuff of more mega pixels and software craps.

The issue with the iPhone 8 will be that the majority of the focus will be on the design, not necessarily what's 'under the hood'. This is why I normally buy every second year and get the S model. This year I went from the 6S to the 7+ mainly to get the bigger size and I should have saved my money.

The iPhone 7 is really the S model of the 6S, hence why there won't be an iPhone 7S and it goes straight to the 8.

It's March and I have the latest iPhone running the latest version of the current iOS and there are still bugs everywhere. The quality control has gone out the window.

When I used to work at Apple they always referred to the upcoming iPhone as "same barbie, new dress" and that has never been more true than with the 7. I'm holding out for the next generation Pixel so long as there is a 256GB version.

I have Pixel XL at the moment, IMHO, it's only fault is that it is not water proof/resistant, I was seriously thinking about getting the Note but then it hit all the problems so I got the Pixel, it's fabulous, I am on the Android Beta Programme and a couple of the individual Beta programmes that give me pre up to date OS and Google apps. I am not convinced that they will come out with a 256Gb version next but will upgrade if it is water resistant.

I think they will. It's an easy change to make and even OnePlus are coming out with 256GB soon.

One thing which bugs me about android is the screenshot always shows the black bar at the bottom. Don't see why.

My wife, daughters, maybe my dog, next, have taken my phones for the last 3 years. So, I have been upgrading every year since I started using an iphone. The crazy thing is that I just wanted a simple phone for calling, occasional text or two, and my baseball scores. That's it! Maybe I'll be able to keep this one for more than a year. If they take this one, I'm done with phones. I never wanted to be tethered to a phone anyway.

I get one every 2 years from work. I was due around October, but I'm going to hold out for the 8. They'll have to offer something interesting for the anniversary model.
Probably not something I need or even want, but I'll wait anyway.

Bought the 7plus when it came out. Even back then they were talking about how amazing the 8 was going to be.

But if it's new tech, there's bound to be some teething issues. I'm going to try to keep the 7+ as long as possible.
