1.5 Link
Anyone else annoyed this isn't provided by AP if you need it out of the box if the watch doesn't fit you properly? I am quoted around $300 for it for my new 15400st. Is this what others have seen in terms of price? I wish they would just take one of my many links I have removed in exchange for the 1.5 link. Thanks

If I remember correctly, that’s what I paid for mine at the Bal Harbour Boutique.

APSC Clearwater quoted me $260 plus $30 shipping for 1.5 link for 15450ST. I’m going to ask the boutique to throw one in when my 15450ST blue dial comes in. It’s worth a shot. Do boutiques and ADs stock the links?

Very doubtful they will have these in stock at the ADs. I had to purchase mine for about $300 from Clearwater as well for my ROO bracelet.

Sounds about right and I’d get it if I were you. It made a huge difference with my 25860. And yes it seems like that should be a part of the bracelet. My Bremont has two half links that come on the bracelet so it is so easy to get a nice fit.

The difficulty in getting the right fit is the only weakness this watch has. A half link should definitely come as standard.

My 15400st was a little loose. Took it in to an AD to ask for one link removal, sales person said it would be too tight then and recommended purchasing a non refundable 1.5 link for $300. I did so, and once the new link in place, still too loose. Ended up just removing a link as I originally wanted. Bottom line, the 1.5 link was useless to me.

Oh I made them take it back since the end result was what I had simply came into the store for in the first place. They were nice enough to do the right thing. Maybe it would work for you, but I think there’s a pretty narrow window where it makes a noticeable difference.

This and the Naut should have half links, the VCO does.

I paid 240 euro for my 1.5 link for my Jumbo and my boutique had to order it. I still debate on whether I should remove my 1.5 and add back the 1 link to have a smaller more snug fit. I'm glad I have it, but it would be nice to have that option to have them fit it before you buy it to see if it really makes a difference.

The VCO also comes with a leather strap, a rubber strap, a bracelet with a micro-adjustable clasp, a Geneva hallmarked movement & case, 150m water resistance...but I digress.
I have the 1.5 link for my 15450 and it makes the fit perfect. Without it I wouldn't be able to get a proper fit and would have to dispense with the watch. In other words, if you need it to get the right fit don't hesitate to spend the money. (Did I just talk myself into buying a VC?) |

I expect the cost of the link depends on your relationship with the AD or boutique. The AD would give me one I suspect, the London boutique I’m not so sure but I’d still like to think they would.

My gold 1.5 was around $1k. But it was so worth it as it makes all the difference in fit. Fit went from being uncomfortable (way too tight or way too loose) to just perfect. Watch now fits great and looks great.

Definitely would have been nice for them to include it on the standard bracelet. I paid around the same for mine from APSC a few years back

Problem will all this is its baked into the high price which they do not want to discount, so it's still a hard buy. Esp when the 2 gen VCO can be had for Ł6k if you can find one, and thus the best value watch around. |

Asking for a friend- Anyone have an idea on how much a 1.5 link runs for on a RG ROC?

HI I would appreciate any info from experienced members. I am looking at a 15400 from my independent dealer. My wrist is a flat 7.25 in and the bracelet feels a little snug out of the box. I have never purchased a luxury watch where my wrist was too large, but here it appears I need at least half a link.
Is this the case with the 15400 out of the box, or perhaps this pre owned model is missing a link? Thanks,

1.5 Link
Quote:
Zero chance it should be tight with all links on a 7.25" wrist. I have had a 15400 and have a 15300 now. Believe I had 2 out in the 15400 and took 4 out of the 15300 and put a 1.5 back in to make it perfect. 1.5 link is a must for many people and it made my 15300 absolutely perfect. I posted a thread on it somewhere here when i bought mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I am not sure what he has to do but he should do the right thing and either find the links or refund you the cost it will take to buy them. They aren't cheap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Yep, I had to buy one for a 15400 I used to own.
Now I need one for my 5711, agree that these watches should come with one straight from the factory, they're expensive enough.

Maybe but when I thought I needed one at no point did AP mention an additional charge, in the end I didn’t need one so can’t guarantee this but the impression I got was it would of been FOC.
