You would never go wrong with the sandwich dial...111 or 112 is a great starting place...oh...did anyone mention the dozen or so straps required with PAM ownership?

I kinda like the metal wristbands.
Although, some of those leather straps look pretty sweet.

Pam 233K.. the dot you see represents day and when it hits evening, the dot disc turns to dark. The newer versions from L on, has an am/pm indicator instead.. some like it and some don't. I like the dot version.. discontinued and cleaner looking dial.

233 is manual and stunning. The manual movement makes it thinner and wears better on the wrist IMHO (compared to 270/312 autos). You only need to wind it every 8 days, so it is a no brainer. Connect with your watch and wind it!

Not a deal breaker just curious.

This watch affliction I have is deadly, been a watch hound ever since I can remember. JUST got my grail Rolex and was totally happy.....

Then, this whole Panerai watch thing pops up.
Never even heard of them until last week.

Nope - the OEM bracelets don't fit the 233.

This is a great thread!!!

So many things, OP, to think about.....

Which style case? Rad, Luminor, Sub, 372-style....

Which material? SS brushed, SS polished, mix SS, Ti, ceramic, gold, platinum

Manual or automatic?

Traditional stick or Arabic dial?

Green lume or ecure?

Which color dial? Black, brown, white

What size? 40, 42, 44, 45, 47

What style lume? Painted or cut? And, do you prefer cut on all, or just on Rad? Some prefer painted on Luminors (like me).

Leather or metal bracelet?

What style strap change? Screws or "quick change"?

Power reserve on dial ok?

Etc etc etc etc.....

Start with base 000,111,112,or 005 and enjoy ur stay in the dark side as you grow ur PAM collection to the 50's and rads..

Ps: the strap changing activities are as addictive too...

Cheers
