Going to London next week looking for a Nautilus

Called a few places in London and was told 2-3 years waiting list for a Rose Gold 5711 or a 5980 on Leather. Anyone know if that is the issue across London?

without a relationship with the AD yes. My AD won't even put that stuff on display even if there is no one waiting. They keep it in the safe until an established client asks after one.

Yeah I figured. I was trying to find an AD with Rolex and Patek to buy two Gold watches at once to maybe make the deal better for the AD but they don't seem to really care.

try calling a few PP AD's in London - you may get lucky. But don't hold your hopes up too much.

Mappin & Web/Watches of Switzerland are going to be no help
Wempe doesnt do waiting lists in a traditional sense
That basically leaves Boodles and i have no idea about them... all i know is they got robbed a few months ago

Ouch, I think they might of been the ones that didn't want to talk about inventory... Makes sense now.

Give David Robinson in Canary Wharf a call, they’ll be more helpful. Mappin & Webb / Watches of Switzerland seem to quote 2-3 years when you enquiry about any Nautilus / Aquanaut, I think it’s their standard response.
I waited about 6 months for my 5980r on leather but in the meantime some came up with immediate availability from other stores I had contacted during my search. It may be worth contacting a few dealers outside of London as their availability is usually better, particularly on the rg pieces.

Times sure have changed, it was at your AD that I first tried the 5711/1r on and realised it was the PP for me.

There shouldn't be much of a waiting list for this as prices are still close to retail, you might get lucky with an AD, esp outside London.

What about the Patek Salon in London? Would the OP have better luck there?

Tried the Salon as well, only Nautilus they had was the 5980 two-tone.

I'm hoping they are more protective with there inventory over the phone and will be a little more open when I visit.

I called David Robinson and set up an appointment, they said they have the Rolex Day Date 40 I am interested in but won't discuss Patek inventory over the Phone.

There is no PP dealer in the UK that holds stock of Nautilus. I'm completely serious. It's the WORST PLACE IN THE WORLD TO BUY NAUTILUS (without being an existing customer).

That's my experience across the country.

I would invest my money and time in London on fish&chips and and some tea. I'm guessing time spent looking for a Nautilus will have a poor ROI.
