That's okay JJ, thanks for your willingness to help. I don't want to start something, because I think my question wasn't well taken by the mods, but I would appreciate a pm from whoever deleted it, and an explanation of why he deleted it.

I don't know what happened to your question but let me answer it as follows:

There are a number of armed smilies, and they are all capable of being used in a light hearted manner (and they more often that not are so depicted).

One is a flame thrower so that really isn't a gun, it is used where someone might be flaming a topic.

Another smilie is a lazer beam zapper and that is also most often if not entirely used in a joking manner.

There are 2 smilies that I can think of that express 'love'. Does it mean that 1 should be deleted? I think not.

If someone uses a smilie inappropriately then they will be liable to moderation.

The main idea is for members to get along in a friendly and good spirited manner. If a smilie is there that can be used in an inappropriate manner, that doesn't give anyone the right to think they can use that smilie inappropriately.

Thank you for the reply.
I really wasn't trying to be a smart ass about it, I was genuinely wondering about it.
Thanks again.

I suspect your post may have been removed as it may well have been perceived as gun related or one that might well initiate a discussion on that topic..........and we all know that kind of discussion is not permitted.
