I look at the date on my watch literally a dozen times a day but I never need to time anything. Easy decision for me.

I know that is the popular logic to have a "beater" and then a grail watch that you baby, but shouldn't the more expensive watch be the everyday watch instead? I mean, don't you want to maximize wrist time with the watch you spent the most money on? What are the benefits of "saving" the more expensive watch for special occasions, only to give all the wrist time to the "beater"?

This is exactly how I do it. My 126715 is my beater. It’s got a lot of “scars,” but I don’t care since I buy a watch to enjoy and wear.

I think the daytona looks more classy and the president is more old school, but that is just me.

There’s little comparison to me. Both are so nice in their own ways. I’ve seen homeless guys wearing Daytonas... and drug dealers wearing presidential. So anyone wearing ether piece likely has personal problems

I have both, DD in yellow gold and Daytona is SS, (Others too). There is no comparison between the two; much like comparing a Porsche and Mercedes S class. If you can only have one think of uses, sporty lifestyle vs. old money. Good luck
