More Patek novelties in 2022?

Yes, no one has the crystal ball. Having said that, based on prior years (and also an initially expected 5811G according to patekaholic), what are your thoughts/best guesses regarding additional releases this year?

I am particularly interested in any Nautilus models. Also asking based on the argument that TS wanted their classic releases to take all the spotlight at W&W and may release more later..

T. Stern announced in the 5470P video that more novelties will come in 2022.

I think we hade the new models with the 5226/5326 and 5470 already. I would guess that if we have new ones during the year, they will be new versions of the current collection (materials, dial colors, anniversary piece...).

Are interested in seeing what Nautilus models come out in general? Or you hoping that with Patek releasing a new Nautilus model the currently impossible to get waitlist restarts? Cause unfortunately, it doesn't and will only get worse.

Not the best period to announce new products. Sept/Oct are traditionally more appropriated.

Well it is in the owner's section of Patek' website, I don't know how to link it sorry (they have their own imbedded videos).

I "should have" received a 5711/1R before it got discontinued, as per my AD it actually was on the delivery list for January 2022 but got cancelled last minute in December 2021. So if I'm dreaming, I would love a successor to that in R or J with a blue or grey dial, which will likely not happen. Alternatively, a 5726R or J may also be nice. In terms of PM the current collection would also offer the 5980/1R, but I think that watch might be too far away from the initial Nautilus concept for me in terms of its dimensions.

I was told by my AD after he returned from W&W, that there will be additional models coming in Sept. I suspect he was told by Patek. He didn't know what they were. Aquanaut turns 25 this year, but they released tons of new models last year so I'm not holding my breath.

Thanks for the insight, could make sense for them to spread the releases out a bit more and to wait for after the summer..

Let's see how the 5740R and 5811G look like.

I'd really like to see any new moon phase complication that is 8.5mm thick or less. I don't like the hockey puck shape of most of the current models.
I'd part with my money immediately for one.

I'd also love to see a new Nautilus, something that is a visible step change, but perhaps not for a year or two yet, hopefully when things have quietened and they're out of the spotlight.

So I just got word that the novelties presented at W&W account for ca 70% of the releases this year with more to follow in spring and fall. Hope in terms of sport models this is not limited to celebrating the Aquanaut..

Insider info or speculation? I will be bummed if 5740g gets replaced with 5740r

That's what Patekaholic speculated but he tends to be quite accurate. For 5740R, I'm curious to know the dial colour though I'm not keen to add another 5740.

Mine is due to be delivered soon (12 months) and I don’t wear RG. Hopefully it is not a replacement, otherwise my 2+ years wait is for nothing

The discontinued list doesn't include 5740G. Don't worry.

For 2022 but my delivery is likely to be 2023 unless I get extremely lucky

There is still an issue with covid (Swiss and French regulations are not aligned. So French employees having covid have to stay at home for 10 days. Swiss employees with covid are no more forced quarantined by regulation). Frontaliers are a substantial percentage of the employees in most companies in Geneva.

But speaking with my friends, neighbors and family, all offices and manufactures are back to work with less tentions in the processes. (Not speaking about shortage from suppliers)

So we can expect more units produced from now on (vs 2020-2021).

I had an interesting conversation with my AD. I shared with him my disappointment about the Calatrava releases.
He told me not to worry because I may be happy this September.

Let's hope that he has good insider info.

Thanks for the heads up, 90 years indeed deserve a little something!
