I'm excited for you. Good luck

I wonder how much DSW is asking for his?

I received confirmation to be getting one fortunately. Would be sad to see folks resell these special watches to commemorate the exhibition which many of us attended and will remember fondly for many years. It's a "different" limited steel Patek and I encourage you to keep and enjoy this watch.

sight unseen it's really growing on me, and i love that it commemorates an event i enjoyed so much. but the closer the price gets to $40K the tougher it would be to hold on to it...

hopefully the resale market won't get crazy and it will look awesome on. never had a leather strap before...not sure what to think yet.

I agree with this Tom. We have a connection to the event and the watch will have some great memories.

Congrats!

I agree. But I would guess that some of these will go to individuals that did not attend any events this summer in NY and feel less of a connection. And once wearing it a bit it really has grown on me - I appreciate it's individual character. Really, doesn't about every collection need a stainless steel Calatrava anyway?

Holy crap! Seriously??

I can't wait to get mine and I have zero I teret in selling it. Even for 50k. But that is friggin awesome that they are commanding such a premium.

This will be more rare than 5524 as that is a regular production watch. I'm gonna have both!!! Muhahahahahha!!!

I think half its attraction is its entry price point and once that's starts reaching silly money the market will wake up and equilibrium will be found. The first few will make buckets of cash and then everyone will see the alernatives that are available and sanity will prevail. Remember the Daytona C....couldn't open TRF without a thread about it....now?????? Make hay when the sun is shining but at the end of the day it's just a 3 hander and who wouldn't rather have the 5524 as the 5522 nears that price point!!

Great good luck, I didn't like it much at first but it does seem nicer in real, but not something I would need to have, after the Voutilainen I am dpne for a few years, some members will be relieved that I won't post for 6 months about if I should get this or that watch

Karl that is nothing, think of all the incomings I faced, all the drama, suspicion, and I still haven't collected the KV yet, after that don't know what I will do, maybe start trolling on the forum, if anyone has suggestions I am opened

This watch may be one of the finest achievements in watchmaking if not mankind in general. $50k is a small sum to ask for one of the apex achievements of human civilization.

I might buy it just to post the certificate of origin with the original buyers name on it

Probably won't get approved for too many more PP pieces in the future.

Exactly! I had such a great time in NYC with friends that this would be an amazing piece to commemorate the trip and US exhibit. I don't think I'm getting one, but if I did, it would be the icing on the cake.

The seller on chrono 24 doesn't even have the watch, as usual. Says delivery in 2-3 weeks.

Give me 58k and I too will find you one and pad my Wallet.
