Was there a price drop?

I was perusing the classifieds and noticed several of the trusted sellers are listing the116610LV a few hundred dollars higher than the Rolex (USA) website MSRP ($9,050).

Was there a price drop, or are the TS's just out of whack?

Any person that owns a watch can ask any price they like.

Has nothing to do with the MSRP of a manufacturer.

Brilliant retort, but doesn't answer the question.

I still don't understand why a green sub costs more than a BLNR GMT, with a presumably more expensive movement and a presumably more expensive dual-color bezel.

Yeah, yeah, I get it, marketing, supply and demand, but it really doesn't make any sense.

There hasn't been a price drop. The TS are selling above MSRP.

ADS in Canada (can't speak to the rest of the world) are finding shipment slow downs on most of the popular professional models including the LVC. Tighter supply pushes the asking price higher I suppose.

Thanks Brian.

I see these things in showcases pretty frequently. Maybe I need to start buying them to sell for a profit here.

It’s a zombie apocalypse watch. Zombies are scared of green.

Being mildly serious though, I would imagine the sunburst dial has something to do with the increased cost.

I haven't seen one at an AD here in quite some time. I did see someone wearing one at lunch the other day.

If you are seeing them there's a good chance they wont last long.

Lots of rumours are flying around the LVc and sellers are taking advantage.

The LV has been $9050 for as long as I can remember....

The first time I came across the watch and I bought it was back in 2015 and the MSRP has not moved since.

Surprisingly, my AD which always had a constant flow of BLNR and LVs has a hard time getting them - They are not a small AD ... They're actually concerned that they do not have enough professional line watches to sell during the holidays. Which is really unheard of.

I visited an AD, mistake by the way, they stated that the reason their is a scarcity is because all the Chinese are buying the LV's. I politely told her that Rolex is probably holding back new inventory to ensure old inventory is purchased and create a stir that the model may be phased out; raising prices and increasing demand. Nope, they stated, its the Chinese. Got to love AD's.

MSRP has not changed. Supply seems low right now based on other threads. Demand is high. This is causing the second hand market to go up over MSRP. I usually browse the usual grey market sites everyday just to see what they have. Even their inventory is lower than what I remember being 1-2 years ago.

I've never seen a price drop with Rolex. When was the last time they had one?

There have been persistent (but unfounded) rumors that the Hulk was being discontinued. Remember: a rumor is not responsible for who believes it.

Just because they're being advertised at a specific price doesn't mean people are actually paying that price.
