Thanks for the comments everyone. Francisco, that dial was also under consideration! I still might get one. i thought the 94710 series all had "Oyster" on the dial, though. Are you sure that's not an early 76214?

Hi Adam, watch came with a different dial, bezel and bracelet, was able to source that dial used. Original dial indeed had Oyster on it:

Both dials looks great, and that Rolex 1603-type bezel in your first pic does too

Thanks Adam. The bezel it came with does not seems to be common; sourced a Rolex engine turn bezel and was a perfect fit

Yes they are, but you might have to shop around for the dial you prefer. There are a few options, I think.

That's a gorgeous watch, there, Expat! You know how to maximize your hobby, that's for sure.
Like others have said, unfortunate sale is not available outside your area.
Cheers,

Here are the available dials for the three references (steel bezel, wg bezel and TT.) The california dial comes with mercedes hands, but I haven't seen one in ADs. Maybe it's no longer made. I've seen most of the others, though. Pics from Tudor Anthology.

Very nice, Adam! Nice pieces you have there. You mentioned you're slimming down the collection. Where does it stand now?

Thanks Rob. About a dozen altogether now. Roughly 50/50 Rolex (five digit sports mostly) and Tudor (BB, THC, Ranger, etc). I'm not a very proactive seller, but there's no hurry.

Adam, that's great info, thanks. I've got a mate in Hong Kong now, where can I suggest he looks for me? Is it a Tudor AD?

Yes, most Rolex/Tudor ADs should have a few in stock.

Nice review and great to see a Date + Day. Mine is a jumbo and circa 1969-1970. My dad bought it, hated it for its lack of a quickset date or day and threw it in his junk drawer for the next 40 years. I had it cleaned and put it on a strap and wear it quite a bit. He gets a kick of seeing me wear it.

Hi Adam, nice review! Sharing my 76200 california dial. I wanted to sell this long time ago since the wife accidentally damaged it by dipping into the pool without locking the crown. Few weeks had passed until I had it repaired by a local watchmaker, thus the damaged dial.

While reading your review, this made me realize that indeed this piece is a keeper. Thanks!

UPDATE: Three months on the wrist now. Daily wear, still feels great...light and thin case, bracelet is comfortable as a Rolex Jubilee.

Movement now loses about half a second a day, then regains it over night, resting crown up.

Thanks. Yes, they're not easy to track down outside Hong Kong. There are two or three BNIB going on ebay with a very high premium.
