Love the Tudor Submariner, and that 7020 is amazing!

The integrated bracelet on my Ranger II.

Thanks a nice Ranger. I did not know that style was made in both a rotating and non-rotating dial. When we bought the watch in Geneva in 1977 we liked the matching dial and bezel color. Someone is selling a men's Chrono-Time for over $2700 on the auction site. (no affiliation). I do not know if this a realistic price or not. More than I can afford right now.

Just got my first Tudor. A 7020 which I am loving. It was serviced prior to purchase, but is having some issues.
Would this group of Tudor owners recommend an official Rolex or Tudor service center repair? Is a local watchmaker ok, or is that taking a chance?

Find a good local watchmaker (search on the forums here) and don't send to Rolex, they'll charge you for ruining it if they touch it ; )

Did you end up getting anything?

Personally, a 79090, although perhaps not yet vintage, but not far off, would be my recommendation. In real life it is an absolute stunner - Matt dial, painted markers, plastic crystal, vintage Rolex feel - allmuch cheaper than a 16800 or 1680 etc

Very nice! The 7914 is thicker and with 20mm lug width make it wear larger.

I think my cream dial 7914 looks quite similar with yours. Congrats..

That cream 7914 is stunning. To me it's even more interesting than old Rolex Oysterdates.

Personally I own ref. 94510 Date+Day from 1987 in mint condition. Although it's my birth-year watch I'm thinking about selling it and buying a Datejust from the period.

On the other hand it will be hard to find a Datejust in similar condition so I'm not convinced yet :D
