So I take my car for its detailing appointment, and notice a guy with a 16613 TT Sub. He looks at my watch while I'm looking at his, and asks if it's a Panerai.

We proceeded to have a nice little chat about our watches while waiting for our cars to be done.

Nice! Jay, what part of NOVA are you from? I used to hang around near Tyson's Corner and Annandale all the time! I love the Korean food over there. It's delicious.

That's great!! It's nice to hear that people can share a conversation on watches even if they don't know each other. It's always been like taboo for people to bring up that topic in the wild.

I live in Manassas, and used to work in Tyson's.

Getting it washed and waxed on the outside, and vacuumed, carpets shampooed, and leather seats cleaned and treated on the inside - while I sit in the waiting area posting to TRF! I'm back home now and the car's all cleaned up and in the garage.

Nice! Besides GTG's I haven't had anyone notice my watch for the longest time. I haven't even gotten the 'Wow, that thing's big" comment in almost a year!

Zero is my hero. My Panerai are definitely more noticed than my Rolex, but not like you'd think.
