Even if OP bought his Daytona at list new, it is still a very expensive LV to him. |

No, because the Kermit is out of production and the Daytona is not. If the OP had a time machine, then yes. I agree. But I’m guessing he doesn’t Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'd jump on it. Personally I'm not a Daytona fan so I'm biased. Big Sub fan though so I'd like to own a Kermit and the flat four full set is the ultimate of course for collectability. There listed @ 25k+ and the skys the limit so I can't see how its a not a good deal. It really comes down to your personal preference.

Think I’d keep the Daytona.

For your convenience quoted below again. The point is a Daytona is not just a "Daytona" or a watch is not just a watch. Given all the elements that make up this watch market. It is clear that the OP would be giving up or "getting the short end of the stick" if he traded straight up the Kermit for the DaytonaC under today's conditions. Speculating which will be rarer to determine future value is nonsense. It's pretty simple. The current dollars don't line up. So if it's a straight up trade, most people would not recommend the deal. If the OP likes the Kermit more then fair enough, I would recommend he ask the other person to add money back to make the current values more balanced. Forget future about speculation. |

Not sure how being in production or not have any bearing on this. Are you assuming 116500 will forever be in production? If not, then production is a moot point.

Not a chance. 16610LV is nice but "disappears" next to the Daytona.
