It’s poll time again!

Hi guys

I’m wondering what the general opinion is on which recent Cosmograph is most coveted. I’m leaning towards the all steel 116520 but I certainly understand the love for and practicality of the ceramic bezel version.

Before voting, assume both have a white dial, are brand new, and that the 116520 still has the mesmerizing superluminova instead of the later chromalight.

Cheers
V.

Most coveted is going to be the 116500LN. Not only is it arguably the second most in demand watch in the world, but it has reached a level of hype and status that the 116520 has not received.

All about the bezel. The Ceramic bezel is just superior - both from a looks and durability perspective.

I don't know which metal bezel the 520 has... but both are flawed. The engraved bezel is more difficult to polish and keep pristine. The painted bezel looks super cheap.

Next step for Daytona should be moving TT to Ceramic bezel. PM models can keep metal bezels. Moving TT to Ceramic would be awesome for both Rolex and customers -- higher gross margin and more happy Daytona customers. The TT models now aren't highly coveted. That will change with Ceramic bezels.

Got both, both white, both 2016 so my 116520 is APH dial and Chromalight.

I prefer the 116520 over the 116500, don’t have an explanation just pure feeling!

oops- wrong thread. Previous message deleted.

FWIW I think it's worth saving up for the WG Daytona on Oysterflex.

Man! That 116520 with the white dial stainless. I know the LN is more coveted but I love that all steel 116520 Chrono.

Practicality is not even an issue.. it's just that ceramic version looks visually better and looks more of man's watch. SS Daytona can easily pass off as women's watch (based on the numerous iterations for women).

It makes much more of a statement as a woman's watch these days.

Rolex needs to make it in a 42+ for men - it needs an update! Great for women but too small and fussy and old fashioned looking on anything but a small male wrist.

What is that watch in the pic? Not a Daytona. I prefer the 116520 which I have and sold my 116500 .

The watch she is holding looks like an Invicta Chrono with a pearl dial.

I like the 520 over the 500 personally but if you are able to score a 500 at list price then that would seal the deal.
