Jubilee is what my wife chose; pink MOP dial with flowers and diamonds.

It's a pretty split decision so far.

Well That idea of mine did not get me any closer to deciding.

Of course she can choose
But. She went to see them both and still can’t decide.

I thought of the great idea of consulting here. She has seen the results and still has not decided

She is not comfortable with 36mm. She thought 34 was too big.

I am thinking the watch with mother of pearl would go beautifully with the jubilee bracelet regardless her age. Oyster is beautiful but sportier. I have a 36 with oyster bracelet , white face Roman numerals which I adore but if it had mother of pearl jubilee would be a no brainer. She can be casual with it or a little dressier. It will be a very versatile piece. I know you said she has other watches for dressier occasions so this one is very smart casual in my opinion . I myself have three pairs of datejust with oyster bracelet but they all have a sportier feel. Now I am looking to add a mother of pearl with a jubilee myself.

My wife does not like Oyster bracelets. She finds them too masculine.

My wife picked Jubilee bracelet with fluted bezel for her Lady Datejust. Jubilee bracelet felt lighter and more comfortable for her. She wears the watch a little looser on the wrist and I'm guessing the more fluid movement of the Jubilee is more comfortable.

Obviously there's nothing that actually sings to her yet.
Has she been into any Ad's and tried anything on yet.
That will be the deciding factor.

Either way, it's going to be for the best if the watch she chooses sings to her.
Of course, there are other brands other than Rolex.
My wife nearly went with a lovely JLC. That was until she tried on "the one".

My wife will not
Wear one that small. She has been wearing 36mm and datejust 41 for years now. I would consider going larger for her if an option ? At least a 36?

Yes, My wife spent a good while at an AD and chose the 31mm watch. There is a reason for 31mm --- She already has a 36mm Patek Nautilus.

She really likes the 31mm with MOP and Roman.

Amongst her watches she has taken over ownership of my JLC Reverso.

I will look at the 2 watches and choose for her I guess. She won't be there ... I'll be in an Airport, My wife will be home.

But, Still she is undecided.
All this week she has been saying Oyster.
Yesterday she started to say Jubilee.
This morning she said .. Ohhh I don't know so i showed her this thread.
Then she said Definitely Jubilee and within 2 mins said .. No oyster !

All I can add for folks to know a bit more is that neither of us are young .. We are both in our 60's.
I can identify with the indecision. It took me about a year and a half to decide for myself... Oyster or Jubilee for my DJ41. I have two other watches with Oyster and one with Jubilee. My wife prefered the Oyster on the DJ41. Ultimately I picked Jubilee.

You can always give her a rain check and buy the watch once she decides. OR... you can buy the other bracelet and swap it when she wants the other one.

Good luck.

I think I will get her the Jubilee.
I saw a picture (and showed it to my wife) of almost the identical watch and dial on DavidS's website. She liked it.

If the worst comes to the worst I'll just have to buy the other (Oyster) bracelet a little later on.

Thanks for wishing me "Good Luck": I think I need it.

My wife went to an AD today,

Finally she has chosen a bracelet style ...

She is going for a Jubilee bracelet.

PHEW ! Thats the one i hoped she would choose ... It's just that bit more feminine I think.

Tomorrow i am going to get it from my normal AD - He has it in stock aside for me.

My wife much preferred an Oyster bracelet over a Jubilee when I bought her an OP.

My wife doesn't wear her 31mm anymore. Now, she is sporting the 36mm range...

Trust me...tell your wive that she looks good in 36mm and she will change her mind.

26-31mm is too old school for ladies in the 80s :) (no offense, but that's what I noticed)

Once you buy her the 31mm, she will want a 36mm 5 years from now. You might as well do it right....and buy the updated look of the future. "honey, 31mm is for older ladies" . If that doesn't change her mind, then oh well...31mm it is....

Rolex AD would be more than happy to try it on for her...at the end of the day, she sometime needs additional eyes.
