Submariner Bracelet Question
I bought a 16800 Submariner last month and I'm delighted with the watch itself, but not with the buckle of the bracelet. The buckle bulges out from my wrist, as shown in this photo. https://www.flickr.com/photos/miket_.../in/datetaken/
Also, when I open the bracelet, the dive extension tends to come open by itself, which is a pain. Finally, the buckle opens MUCH more easily than the ones on my other watches, so easily I'm afraid it could pop open on its own. Is this a common problem (or do they all do this?!?!) I'm assuming if this is wrong it's because something needs to be bent more (or less) in the bracelet, but I don't want to do a DIY repair on something expensive that's still under warranty (by Bob's Watch). If it's something extremely simple to fix, tell me and I may do it myself. Otherwise, I guess I'll be wearing the Sub on a NATO strap for a while and sending the bracelet for repair. Mike Taglieri |

Doesn't look like the correct clasp.
I can see the extension pushing the deployant blades away. A correct clasp would have 4 holes fore and aft, and the rivet (that is sticking up) would snap into one of the second set of holes and lay flat.

You bought this from Bob? It is clearly defective. It should not bulge like that and it should not look like it was passed through some kind of grinding machine. I would return it to Bob and get my money back.

I’d be wary. I purchased a GMT from Bob’s and they sent me a watch with a Frankenbracelet.
Clearly they just cobbled together a bracelet and attached it to the GMT. (In my case at least) |

It clearly looks like the wrong clasp was fitted to the watch. I would simplify my request to Bobs and either they fit a brand new OEM clasp or, they provide a full refund.

The Clasp is wrong.
It makes me fear for what else is wrong. Thats what i call ... "Return to Sender" . It isn't cheap to buy the correct parts. maybe thats why you have been sold some cheap probably non authentic stuff.
