Patek Philippe 5980 1AR-001 appreciation thread

Hi guys,

I read on this forum many opinion about Nautilus 5980 1AR-001.
I know it’s a two-tone watch but I think it’s a very beautiful TT with gorgeous blue dial.
Let’s see some pictures and appreciation from people who have and love this model.
Also we wait for opinion from people who want it or don’t want it.

I love mine!

I don't own this reference but I like it because of the electric blue dial. It is very beautiful watch.

The dial and bezel make for a very attractive combo indeed!

Patek 5980 1AR

My opinion is that the blue dial is the most stunning out of all the blue dial Patek pieces. It is a very under rated model!

I'm not sure it is any/that different to the other plat and WG models, but the warmth of the surrounding RG will bathe it uniquely to the eye, certainly does so on my YG Subc.

Been my dilemma forever, this or the 5990, infact I passed on this to get the 5990 (which I have not got yet) and I do admit, I do have a regret passing it.

Patek are so annoying, they keep specific dials on specific pieces! This is to die for.

Same.

Kudos to you for starting this thread!

I feel like this is one of the least loved, if not the least loved, Nautilus.

I look forward to ours!
