Daytona TT

Wondering which Daytona I should get from the two that are available for me presently

1. Two Tone YG white Dial
2. Two Tone YG Champagne Dial

Also would love your view on the two tone in general ... What are your thoughts

Next Question ...

I have an offer to trade my Hulk Submariner and some cash for a TT YG Daytona, should I do it?

With Hulk prices these days, you shouldn't have to pay any money for a TT Daytona. Maybe the other way around

I have a white dial to Daytona. It’s a nice combo. Not too flashy, a bit dressy and looks a bit vintage just from the combo.

Also depends on the condition of your hulk but you shouldn’t be sending money in my opinion.

Love TT, I'd for the white dial 100%. And I wouldn't personally make that trade.

I would go white for clearer dial

Don't do that trade, and if you are, go with the white dial.

I’m pretty sure I have one of the ones you mentioned, the 116503. Personally I love it and it’s a watch that’s very, very comfortable to wear. I purchased it just recently and I’m glad I did.

Was at AD a little while back.
AD had TT Daytona black dial and Champagne dial in display case.
And TT Daytona white dial in their VVVIP safe.

Now ... you tell me which one is more in demand.

I had the T/T Daytona with the White Dial & Gold Sub Dials which I purchased new in 2017 but was looking at what was on display in the Rolex AD’s window & spotted the Daytona 116503 (New Model) with the White MOP 8 Diamonds Dial & I knew I had to have it. So I got it here are a couple of photos of it

Thank you guys for all the feedback ... I think the general consensus here is that I should not trade the hulk out ... Just wondering why?

The TT Daytona white is an awesome watch, but I would not trade the Hulk in light of the current market trends.

Although not necessarily readily available at an AD, your more likely to land one from them sooner than a SS, I wouldn't make that trade with anyone. I own a 116523 with a black dial and would never trade it for anything. My personal thoughts on the TT Daytona, awesome

Just because to many the fact is was just discontinued makes it magically worth more. Nothing wrong to sell it and capitalize on its lately crazy high prices if you want to try something else. Would also suggest the white dial TT Daytona

I prefer the white dial TT Daytona. The Hulk is only going to go up in price as it is discontinued. If you shared the details of the deal, how much you are getting back, it might make it easier. Remember that the Rolex AD only paid 62% of msrp and could be doing a deal that bangs you on both ends.

Keep the Hulk, it will be a collectable watch soon.

Just save more money to buy TT white dial Daytona.

Personally, I’d ask for the black dial - the best of the TT’s IMO.

I’m in a minority here, but I think the TT white Daytona is the best looking one there is (aside from the platinum model).

I really like my hulk ... But I like the Daytona more as a watch over the Submariner

But the deal I might get is

TT White Dial Daytona + 2,000$ for the Hulk ...

I am still considering / negotiating haha ...

The only thing is ... can the hulk continue to maintain the momentum ... I know this is all speculation but with the quantities that are out there ... do we really think the hulk can become that much of a collectable ...

I am only considering this trade because I have the TT Bluesy and the Black dial Sub as well ... but no Daytonas

interesting thread, was just on the phone with an AD. They have both a white TT and a black TT in the case....---Oh, these are Daytona's
Are these hard to get, and the majority opinion seems to go for the white all the way....

We are all different and have varying reasons for doing what we do, there is no right or wrong as along as it is legal.

So why not trade the Hulk, well let's look at it a different way, do you like your Submariner LV?

If Yes - Then why are you thinking of selling it?

If No - Then fair enough sell it.

If having the Daytona is reliant on selling the Hulk then are you totally, totally, totally sure that you won't miss it? Are you sure that it is not just a case of the (excuse the pun) green eyed jealous monster making you think that the Daytona is the answer to your needs?

If you do the trade just be sure that you don't regret it, the LV is an awesome watch and one that you will have great difficulty replacing if you realise at a later date that you have made a mistake.

1. I would not trade the Hulk for TT Daytona + cash. I would add the TT Daytona to your collection.

2. As per TT - personally, I feel TT is trending back in style and I love it. Plus, it sits well on our wrists as we all mature in age. White dial would be my preference too.
