I have dozens of Ralph Polo shirts in custom and slim fit.
I’ve only got one Lacoste, I’m not a massive fan of their designs.

Since I am a self centered, egotistical, boastful, vain, arrogant, pompus, maniacal, self-absorbed, narcissistic, grandiose, insolent, god like complex, recalcitrant , know it all (other than that - I´m a cool dude).......... I prefer Ralph Lauren Polo´s. Maybe it´s psychological, I dunno.

Even though this thread is 2 years old, since others are still posting, I will also throw in my .02.

Uniqlo Dry Ex and Banana Republic Luxury Touch (but only when on sale).

Does RL have a bad reputation in the UK? It's not viewed this negatively in the USA

I´m USA - Latin America based. Feedback given was based on local opinions.

These feel amazing brand new but after one wash no matter what cycle (I always air dry) they no longer feel like that at all. Is there something I've been missing with this?

Lot of high end polos on here

fruit of the loom premium polos - £7 from eBay

All colours - wear/ wash well. Any marks that won’t wash out / not the end of the world.

For a lot of people though - it’s all down to the logo ......

I don't seem to have the same problem. I always wash cold/cold and use Tide. Air dry as well.

On the Rolex forum? I find that hard to believe.

Interesting replies, but it's more about the fabric for me. I'm not into 100% or high cotton. So I do wonder why Lacoste is as popular as is posted here. The industry has come a long way with new fabrics. So, for now, I don't have a favorite. I do like the Tommy B styles though. And I need to check out the T Mathews line ..looks intriguing.

As I’m a shorty and prefer to wear my polo’s out I’m very limited on options!

Got a few HB ones which are good but all my RL’s are longer then I’d really like!

Any pointers on brands that are not overly long?

I recently bought a couple of Criquet polos from Austin, TX and am very pleased with them. They have a standard and slim fit that fits very well.
