DRSD Dial comments also

I posted for info regarding the Single red Sub earlier.
I would appreciate any other comments regarding the DRSD pics posted here also.
I have looked at them many times and would appreciate some new eyes and input.
Kind regards
Davey

Many Thanks

Mine has that "texture" on the lume plots
Glad its normal thought it was a bit strange. Would have liked the red writing to have been more "RED" instead of a kinda burgundy. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

MK3 dial is direct printed "RED"
Please check the DRSD web site below for details

Welcome.
What's the S/N?

Another Mk3 for your reference.
Similar RED print & lume texture.

Serial

Hi
I have to check the number but I think from memory its a '73
Low 3's
I need to get the bezel "click" repaired as it simply turns. Who is the best in the UK for this type of work?
The case back has numerous Rolex service engravings
Its a thin case too and IMHO not over polished as the crown guards look good

Lume

I was also concerned that compared to my 1680 RED posted here the lume is quite "white" and has very little patina. Is this a good or bad thing?

It's not meant to click. It's meant to just turn with a bit of friction.

It may be as easy as replacing the washer under the bezel. m

That repeating, dimpled texture on the aged tritium is correct and, so far as I know, pretty hard to fake.

Lume looks OK. Patina develops, or doesn't, for a number of reasons. Most accepted theory is that pieces that sit in a box or otherwise not exposed to sunlight develop more patina than those exposed to sun.

Case size?

Thanks for all the info on my MK3 DRSD
The question regarding thin case? Should my 73 3 Million serial No have a thin case or not? Mine is a thin case. Anyone know what size case it should be? Its with Rolex at the moment for appraisal only due to the amount of fakes out there.

Thin case year change

Hi
Does anyone know what year the DRSD went from thin to thick case? Was it on a Mark basis or Serial Number or Year?
Kind regards,
Davey
