The most I’d consider is 1-2k premium above msrp +tax. We aren’t there on hot models but on the run of the mill stuff like explorers or even 124060 I’d say fair enough.

Watches as investments have turned out pretty bad historically. In the late '90s, early 2000s there was a lot of talk of rare antique pocket watches as investments and prices became quite high.

They've now completely collapsed. Many fine pocket watches now barely sell for the gold scrap in their cases at auction.

So just like in any market this is my loose ceiling. For example date Sub's 116610LN is going for 14-15k today....ridiculous on a 8-9k watch. But just like overpriced houses eventually when all of them dont sell the prices must come down.

Just my worthless opinion
