Obviously not an AP, but seems like a fun, beater option for vacations etc Might be tempted to buy an all metal bracelet myself |

I'm all over this. Preordered in black. Silver pre order sold out while I was checking out. The gold looks great too. I've got about 4 of these analaog Gshocks now, though, and I find them a bit annoying to actually read the time. Have been migrating to digital Gshocks, and Freestyle Sharks too.
Though lately my 15720 is the beater. I'm a pretty active person and really enjoy the comfort of AP's broad rubber strap. I go surfing with it pretty much every day. |

One of the black CasiOaks that I have is 'aftermarket': all metal and designed to look like an AP. It's... interesting. Of course it's aluminum, feels light, but the tightness of the fit and finish is pretty surprising. I wear the black metal CasiOak all of the time in 'rougher' areas or whatever, and no one ever seems to notice it. Which makes me wonder... would anyone notice a genuine black ceramic openwork?? Certainly no one's ever noticed my 15720 - not that I could tell anyway. Comparison with the real thing: IMG_9707.jpg IMG_9706.jpg This is their silver version - like I said, it's aluminum, it's not really 'worth it' in my opinion. The new steel CasiOak should be much, much cooler. But this is still kind of 'funny' or whatever: https://www.tokyo-studios.com/produc...rs-item-sp062/ |

I suppose for me the real question is do I get the kiddos this or the Moonswatch to keep them from wearing my watches!

At $550-$600 in the US (no UK launch yet it seems) that looks pretty expensive for what it is/offers....well, that's my view!

Got one for my 12 year old son. He enjoys it. Was around $200. Quality is good considering price

My son loves my AP's and constantly asks to wear them so I got him this. It has interchangeable strap and bracelet

I've had mine for a couple of weeks, time for a mini review of sorts:
I got the black model. It's shinier than I would personally prefer, but of course that's just my own preference. The bracelet and clasp aren't as cool as my $10k+ watches - shocking I know. There is nowhere I'm going to wear this where I wouldn't be comfortable wearing my 15720CN anyway, and the AP is cooler, so it doesn't really fit much of a need for me. I have a ton of rubber Gshocks which I, personally, think look cooler. So for me it's not really ideal. The bracelet and heft of it aren't "cool enough" for me, and the style isn't really my style I guess, with the shiny black metal. Perhaps if it were more matte I'd like it more? Have really been on a rubber strap kick lately, with the Offshore and Gshocks, so maybe this review is more about me than it is the watch. I kind of like the more playful Casios I guess, again just personally. |
