A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Up and Down

My third Lange. One example in Saint Martin. I could not let it go. They are scarce right now. I have visited NYC,Miami, Puerto Rico, and only a few examples found by me. I hope the disease lets me rest for a bit!

Gorgeous! I just spent the afternoon at the Lange Boutique in Boston. What an amazing experience!
I’m just starting to explore which will be my first…

Ah, Mines on order. I hope it arrives soon. Looks amazing.
I want to pick up a deployment clasp too. Did you just order one from the boutique?

Thanks all!
I found it at an authorized dealer in Saint Martin. They happened to have the deployment buckle/clasp as well.

Nice, how much did they charge you for the clasp?

Which clasp? The single arm or butterfly? I have the single arm and the clasp extends right round my wrist and digs into my bone. Looking at the shorter strap option to move the clasp into a more comfortable position. Butterfly clasp really expensive.

Very nice Lange! Would love to trade my rosegold 1815 seconds only for an U/D in the future.

Definitely a familiar problem! A custom strap from another manufacturer will solve it. See below. For me, the Lange short strap helps but still isn't short enough.

Double-fold (butterfly) deployants are the same price as single-fold deployants even though the latter are far beefier.

Thanks all!

The single arm. I purchased months later for my Lange 1 the butterfly which is better. But the store had only the single arm which I prefer any deployment over the tang buckle.

I bought the butterfly deployant clasp for my Lange 1 and love it. I considered the single fold clasp--but I chose the butterfly because it looks sleeker and allows a better (i.e., less obstructed) view of the movement.

I went this way, as well. The butterfly is great.
