Sad News For Baseball Fans

Big Papi has been shot in the back at point blank range while visiting in the DR. He's stable and out of surgery. Prayers are with him.

Apparently the patron of the nightclub where he was shot captured and beat the shooter, holding him until police arrived.

Serious stuff. Glad he's expected to make a full recovery.
They said they had to remove parts of his intestine, colon and gall bladder.

Wow. Dominican Republic is having a bad week. Deaths at resorts and now this.

Tourism will probably take a hit.

Good luck to the baseball player.

Just read it! Seems like he’s doing ok! Hope he’ll make a full recovery!! Just as a side note, it’s not just him, it’s been happening to a lot of tourists lately in the Dominican Republic. Just crazy!!

That's crazy, I just read about this on TMZ and wow. I hope he's going to be ok and that the second suspect is apprehended soon.
