i hope this is the way you do this ,sorry if it isn't iam new to this thing , ihave an old rolex serial no.712406 ,could anyone tell me abot it i inherited it ,the watch atpresent does not work i was told the movement was out of balance ,is it worth repairng?i think its about 90 yrs old i do have some pics if it helps,regards

Hi Lexo,
Yes definitely worth sorting. it looks to have London import markings for 1916, making it possibly a WW1 trench type watch. Good luck!

I'm looking at a similar vintage Rolex (WW1 trench watch) and would greatly appreciate any feedback.

Seller says it runs well, but like all watches this old, it's not 100% accurate -- it loses seconds each day. What do you think would be a fair price?

I'm not so sure. Most converted pocket watches have the small seconds dial at 9:00 or 180* away from the crown. That would have put the small sub dial at 6:00 in the original pocket watch configuration.

I know this is old... but did you have it repaired? Beautiful watch btw
