93150 bracelet query??
Hello folks,
Today I finally got my 1968 5513! I purchased it from a well know and reputable collector/dealer, the watch itself is very original, especially the dial, I'm over the moon with it. However it came on a later 93150 bracelet with 501b end links, I knew this when I purchased the watch, which is fine as it fits very well to the case and is also very comfortable. (I may try to get the correct bracelet at some point when I've saved a few £££) The thing I have the query about is the date code on the clasp, its CX 5. I can't find any reference to that code. Can anyone shed any light on it?? The bracelet looks almost unused, could it be new-ish with a random code?? Do Rolex AD still sell them?? The end links look used. I'm no expert but the bracelet definitely looks genuine and I'm sure the seller wouldn't risk his reputation in passing on anything that wasn't 100% original. Any help would be appreciated. |

CX would be a random clasp code since 2011. Yes Rolex still sell them.

Thanks for the message Sky2 you're right!
I've had a good search on the forum and found a few examples of random codes on newer bracelets. And the seller told me the same, I should have trusted him :) |
