A Sub can go from board shorts at the beach to a tux at a formal affair, no problem . Just ask Mr. Bond

I don't have a Sub, but my black GMT looks similar and goes great with shorts/t-shirt, after all it is a sport watch. You don't have anything to worry about, now GO BUY IT!!!

Not to worry, Gabe. The Sub will go with anything, as others have said. Same with the black bezel GMT.

Well, JJ sits around in his "shorts and singlet" admiring his watches, so I guess if it works for you, go for it. One thing however, I would rather not hear about you sitting around in your underwear......one of "that type" on this board is enough (actually one is too much, but Ed hasn't been able to ban the BKL yet ).

No worries at all. It is one of, if not , THE most versatile watches out there.
If your dressing "down" and someone notices your watch, ( and they know it's a Rolex ), they won't care what your wearing. It's all good.

george...i think you and I are around the same age....i got my rolly when I was 23, it doesnt matter where you wear it! i wear my watch everywhere and with anything(except basketball shorts). enjoy it, the best part of it is when someone asks to look at it upclose to see if its authentic after viewing it upclose, they realize that is a real one! that look is the best feeling....good luck bro!

This is the reason (or one of them) for me wanting a sub 16610.I can wear it to work with a suit and tie, then wear it with jeans and a t-shirt.Hell Charlie Boorman wore one on a BMW motorbike and did 20000 miles through some pretty ordinary conditions,Long Way Round is the dvd which is great viewing.
Then someone like Bond 007 wears it with a tux.Cant get any more versatile than that. And hey i'm a panerai man. Good luck, you wont regret it !!!! |
