Tudor and Rolex logos on a Tudor bracelet?!

I bought a vintage (probably 1980s) Tudor Prince 35mm for my mom for Xmas from a trusted seller on Chrono24. The Jubilee bracelet is too big for her and I need to get some links removed. As I was examining the bracelet, I noticed that while it has a Tudor logo on the clasp, there are two Rolex logs on the inside of the clasp!

Is this expected? Or is something fishy about the watch I bought? (See attached pics)

I'm no expert but I have never seen a bracelet signed both Tudor and Rolex... it's always either or.

Actually that was the standard procedure for Tudor, at least in the late 70s-early 80s. In 1987 I bought a NOS blue snowflake Tudor Submariner (wish I'd never sold it). The caseback had Rolex engraving on it, and the folded link clasp had the Rolex stamping on it.

Examples in these pics.

I’ve seen Tudor clasps with Rolex blades. Not in this configuration but on 9315’s. Nothing I would worry about. Probably either just transitional parts when produced or the clasp at some point was changed. Initially all Tudors had Rolex bracelets so at some point it changed.

A good friend has a blue 7016 snowflake with a similar setup. Perhaps the same watch? Came with similar bracelet, interesting papers that showed as a staff purchase from Bexley.

I dunno what became of mine. I sold it in 1990, at a jewelry store in Bellevue, WA. I had been laid off and was cash strapped. Only got $200 for it. I kick myself every time I think of it.

Not the same then but indeed very similar.

Bracelet is good but you'll be struggling to find anyone capable of removing any links.

I'm aware that old Tudors came with Rolex signed bracelets, case and crowns. I just didn't know they even came with Tudor clasp mixed with Rolex blades...

That's what I'm afraid of! My local Rolex/Tudor AD sent me to a local watch repair place and said they might be able to do it. We'll see! Worst case, I guess I'll need to buy my mom a different strap.

Hi it is normal to see the Tudor logo and Rolex engraved on the clasp. No worries
