Gilt Dial 1016
Hi Guys, does this look legit for a gilt dial? Seller reluctant to divulge year and serial...

The dial does look real.
But clearer photos would be useful. Are any of those marks on the dial or just o the crystal?

They won't give you the first three numbers?
Is the replacement acrylic flat? I'm not seeing any distortion in that second pic. |

Thanks for the replies. These are all the photos/info I have. Seller is just fishing - wants around $40k USD

Looks a-ok. I’d want much better pics to determine condition of the dial as the value of these is in the dial. High 20s perhaps for perfect mint gloss dial, can’t see 40k unless with full set also.

It is a full set and seller has now come to their senses (dropped to $27k) but lack of info is a no go for me.

Don't give up on it. See if you can develop a rapport so he'll feel comfortable providing more information. If he really has the watch and wants to sell it for $27k, he'll need to give information to someone.

The seller’s reluctant to give info on a watch that’s $27K? Man, that’s a seller I’d never deal with. I don’t care how nice the watch might be.

Ask the seller to insert a piece of paper in one pic with today's date at least, to prove it's in his possession. But it sounds fishy to me at this point.
