Great images, both great watches which would make it a hard choice, especially because one has a date and the other does not. If I as wanting a Chronograph, I would go for the Patek.

Lange for me. Like the big date as opposed to no date and the romans better than the arabics.

Based purely on aesthetics, I'd choose the Patek.

The Lange is a fabulously beautiful, classy movement. The Patek is awesome as well but the Lange display beats the Patek and the Patek front of the watch beats the Lange.

I got it! They both win

Awesome watches. They are both lottery winning watches in my opinion.

L & S by a country mile. The Patek looks like the holes for the sub dials were an afterthought.

the Patek is imo BY FAR the best looking of those 2
Could be the most beautifull chronograph ever made

The Lange's movement is nicer but the Pateks dial, case and size is just 100% perfect

As a Lange owner I say Lange.

They are beautiful, accurate and bullet proof.

I still want the Lange and Sohne. That has got to be one of the most interesting exhibition watches I have ever seen. I wonder how delicate it is? It sure has beautiful colors to it. I don't think I'd get anything done if I owned it. I would be staring at it for hours.

Absolutely with you on that one. It's such a beautiful watch.

From what I understand, this one has a nearly identical movement as the Patek, but at half the price. Quite a beauty!

The 5070 model shown in this thread is now discontinued as of Basel '08 and is available only in Platinum.

Lange has a more beautiful movement, but the Patek dial is an absolute classic.

They are both beautiful watches and very hard to choice between.
But I would prefer to have a date if I had the choice.
So it would be the Lange.
Saying all of this though, I would like to own a PP at some time.

The Datograph is one of my all time favorite watches! The movement just looks so elaborate more than that of Patek!
I say The Lange!!!

My op.: LANGE has the much better movement. It has soul and is just superb! The PP movement is "just" a "modified" Lemania...but still lovely. Since I am a very conservative young guy, I still want the Patek!
