It looks like the current model, but they made a mistake on the bezel. I'd like to see it on my wrist.

I like the color combo. Rolex is all about making their own history. Why design a retro coke or pepsi when there are already many years of it issued?

WOW... keep the faith GMT fans!! This bodes well for the two color ceramic bezel issue. It looks like Rolex is making progress for sure.

Ironically, the more I look at it the more it make sense. Like many GMT collectors I appreciate all bezel options (coke/pepsi/black) but truthfully... this combo is the closet to nature. Blue for day & black for night.

Pretty cool now that I think of it - in reality coke & pepsi don't really make sense from a nature standpoint (red = day???). Of course I love them regardless but this is growing on me quickly!!

Thanks for the thread Anders...hope all is well.

I like it. I recently finally picked up a gmt master II C. I love the watch and would have been torn between the all black bezel and this new model. I also prefer the polished center links to the brushed. Classy and elegant in my opinion. Rolex finally got the multi-colored bezel right. Black sky at night and blue during the day. I'll post pictures of mine in it's home environment eventually. I love this forum and I've learned so much from all of you about watches. Thanks.

It looks sensational to me; but, though I've four Rolex's, I'm coming to the Rolex community late in the game. And so, I don't have the emotional connection to the Pepsi and Coke bezels. Just as a matter of my sense of aesthetics, the bezel is--and I realize this is beyond the pale--preferable to the Coke/Pepsi color combinations.

In any event, I'm betting that with familiarity, this watch becomes a very popular choice. It's jumped to the top of my wish list.

I think its okay but yeah, I truly believe this is going to be one that I don't really care for. It's really dark.

I think it's awesome. I will get one as soon as they become available. Blue is my favorite color though. The WG Sub was too much blue (and cost too much for me). This one is just right for me. I know the Pepsi/Coke fans are disappointed, but that Rolex is doing two color bezels should give you some feeling of progress, should they decide to offer those combinations.

It is eye catching but really don't see Rolex's Direction to this. What's next? Maybe Black and Pink with Pink hand? I am a Rolex fan but 2013 models just not for me.

I like it. I was set to buy the sub c date black bezel, but now I am thinking maybe this instead. Need to see them side by side. I agree with the posters who state that the bezel colors finally make sense. Blue (sky) for daytime, black for night.

Looks like Coke and Pepsi had a baby. I would like it A LOT more if the went with a lighter blue like on the WG Sub.

This is like they were testing the blue on ceramic first and it worked so they said :" ok, sell them blue for now.."

I like it. Just can't decide whether it would be this one or the green GMT2C.

If they had to use blue and black - they should have used a lighter blue, for more contrast, and especially if it has got anything to do with night/day, which I actually doubt. It's just 2 colours - like the red/blue, black/maroon or the root-beer (no sky reference in those either) - but these don't work, IMO.

There's more to the picture than meets the eye
Hey, hey, my, my
Out of the blue and into the black
You pay for this, but they give you that
And once you're gone, you can't come back
When you're out of the blue and into the black

We could call it the "Neil Young GMT" or even better the "Crazy Horse"

I don't like it, I definitely prefer my 116710LN, I'm more on the "uderstamentent" side, so I like more and more the green GMT hand and the green writing on dial.

Ciao

Actually, according to the official Rolex website, the day sky/night sky reference is the reason for the blue/black bezel.

My opinion on this watch is a little less black-and-white (or black-and-blue) after having slept on it. The day sky/night sky idea isn't bad. However, the blue in the photos at least, looks too dark - they should have chosen a more true sky blue.

Also, the pics I've seen, either due to backlighting or deep shadows due to lighting angle, makes the case itself appear black - almost like that three-letter acroynm for coated cases which escapes me at the moment. Therefore, the entire watch (and the blue portion of the bezel insert, for that metter) may not be as dark as it looks.

Furthermore, Rolex may be on to the right style trend with this, at least among the younger folks which it is apparenlty chasing (not a bad idea from a marketing standpoint - you always need young blood). The young'uns today love blacked out stuff. Check out the new Harley bikes - blacked-out pipes, bars, etc. is all the rage. Complete opposite of us old-school types, for whom the more chrome, the better. Young folks may love this; and frankly, it would look cool with a monochromatic black outfit at da' club.

Finally, it will probably be a good seller among those (and there probably are a lot of them) who must have the latest thing, no matter what it looks like (at least, within reason). I suspect these folks view things differently than a lot of the folks on the forum.

I still like my Pepsi better, though.
