New name for GMT BLUE/BLACK - BABY SMURF
what do you guys this as the new name for the GMT blue, i know weve been through bruiser, powerade, etc but alot of people are saying the shade of blue is exact to the submariner WG blue, and if thats the case, thats the daddy of all Rolex's so we should call this the smurf baby.
Let me know what you think |

Nooooo! When I hear "smurf" I want to smash it with a hammer. Terrible thing to do to a beautiful GMT.

Agreed. If you ever get the urge to hit it with a hammer, give it to me for safekeeping https://www.rolexforums.com/images/smilies/dude.gif

I just refer to it is "GMT Black Blue" when discussing it. Its a watch I'd like to own sometime soon, and I'm having a hard time accepting "the bruiser" , "batman" , "the baby smurf" to begin with.
Maybe it should be BLOIR ("blar" for a mix of BLeu NoiR) |

We're an important part of history, and its a great responsibility! lol
I mean we could have all been spending 8K on the 116610 Ninja Turtle, no? Could you imagine people looking for a "mixed serial ninja turtle" a few years after we all die? |

That is one of the worst name ever for a GMT.
I think most of us called the TT Sub the smurf because we liked the TT bluesy so much more. I for one am happy Rolex ditched the smurf. |

I will call it the "Bi-Color GMT". I think any name that can be attached to it will be nothing short of silly. Sorry......Baby Smurf, Bruiser, Batman........They are all silly and sounds as if we are in the 7th grade all over again.
