Panerais should not be a major problem if you're comfortable with 40mm Rolexes. The reason why I singled out the Big Pilot and the Flieger watches is because from lug to lug, they are much larger than a Panerai Black Seal, which has such discreet lugs.
The Big Pilot is not only massive in case diameter, but it also has very long lugs too.

It's all a matter of personal taste and preferences. If the wearer likes a big wrist on his small wrist and that look floats his/hers boat, that is all what matters.

Anybody catch the extremely large dial on the watch Randy Jackson was wearing on "American Idol" this season so far? He is listed on the "Toy Watch" web page but that isn't the watch he was wearing in the last 2 nights episodes. I mean a Humongously large dial. It looked like 50mm or more.

Im looking at the Breitling Avenger Skyland for my next watch.... What do you guys think? It is 45mm, the super avenger at 48mm is just too large for me. Unless, I was flavor flav!!

How big is your wrist? 45mm is not too large if you have big wrists.

Who'd wear a pocket watch on their wrist? Odd.
Bring back the boys' size I hope this big-is-better fad doesn't stay - although a 44mm SD from Rolex sounds like a step in the wrong direction. just my opinion, of course. Don't want to upset you big guys as I guess there's a big fist at the end of a big wrist

8 inch, more when they swell. all the links are in my gmt2c and clasp is set in the next to the last micro adjustment. when my wrist swells i have to let the comfort link out. i can wear a 50 mm watch and it is fine.
